PvE Caster Dervish!
I'm slightly sick of Melee AI to be honest. They can control aggro sometimes but nothing truly beats a human Melee. I imagine it is really hard to program AI so I am not going to point fingers at people.
When derv's first came out and I read the manual, I thought the different Avatars that Derv's can take on would represent that class and allow derv's to play them. For example, Lyssa would let Derv's be casters due to the energy gain, Melendrue would allow them to be rangers since I saw it carry a bow in the manual, however I Learned this isn't the case. (Though with a human character I suppose Lyssa COULD be used with eternal aura but High energy sets are a better choice most likely)
ANYWAYS I saw the one caster dervish on PvX wiki and was intrigued. I would like to challenge everybody to make their best Hero (Preferably) Or human if you can't make a hero, caster dervish. It could be a buffer, support, offensive, etc etc as long as it does it's job enough to be considered worthy. I am currently working on one with a Rt secondary and another with an A secondary but they need some work.
Lets see if we can make MoX Melonni and Khamu have more roles in the game! No specific rules except for that it must be a caster class, meaning no attack skills, neither ranged or melee.

Ever heard of Rac's Orders Derv/Healer? Or Tyla's semi-subpar Derv healer?

Any kind of derv caster using arcane zeal would automatically work 10 times better if its in the same team as an arcane orders derv. Build around that fact.

Back wen MOX first came out, I gave mox a D/Mo pius renewal healer build, and (not realising i didnt need him) did the one from ToA just him + me as a ranger. Wasnt easy, but we succeeded just the two of us. Cant remember wat the build was though.

I play Derv, mostly melee AoM or WS builds but when running Discordway I play a caster Derv/Necro build along the lines of:
Avatar of Lyssa
Eternal Aura
Shadow of Fear (AoE hex)
Enfeebling Blood (AoE condition)
Weaken armour (AoE condition)
Pain Inverter (Caster go boom)
Technobabble (for the AoE Dazed)
(free slot, normally a cap sig)
Running radiant insigs and mysticism and attunement runes and with a nice curses staff you have a pretty decent pool of energy, and the AoE hex and condition spamming really helps to
Shut down melee.
Set up the Discord spammers with targets.
I was always skeptical about playing a caster Derv but it works surprisingly well with Discordway considering Derv is not really a pure caster class.

I might not actually need to since I plan on playing a prot monk with Aegis + many other enchants that would help buff that elite.
I would LIKE to see a build where the elite is free but unfortunately I think they need that Energy management.

Tyla is saxay no? Rac too.
Lol, and dervs make good supporters tbh, with order for example they can buff melee really well also being able to heal with wind spells. They have really nice utility, for example imbue health is wonderful, waTCHFUL INTERVENTION IS REALLY NICE and sopl is just epic pressure relief when used on a hero who spams it like mad. and you have seen all the HB crap havent you, when they fit all sort of spells on their earth derv, SH, Orders etc. etc. biside from meld/recall tht is. LOL btw, wht is the topic about I forgot LOL.
